Bastardizing the power clean

You will be discussing this one at the water cooler the next few days.

Equipment Requirements:

1 Barbell (15kg/20kg)

Assorted Bumper Plates


VARSITY

3 Rounds for Reps of each movement

1:00 Grapplers Power Clean (115 lbs/75 lbs)

1:00 Push Press

1:00 Front Squat

2:00 Rest


JV

3 Rounds for Reps of each movement

1:00 Grapplers Power Clean (95/65)

1:00 Push Press

1:00 Front Squat

2:00 Rest


Masters

3 Rounds for Reps of each movement

1:00 Grapplers Power Clean (65/45)

1:00 Push Press

1:00 Front Squat

2:00 Rest


Some other options and things to consider.

1. If you are not familiar with the power clean you should sub deadlifts. If you are not familiar with deadlifts then you should take two weeks off and then quit.

2. I have also run this with step ups instead of front squats.
